Chile and Onion Tostadas

  • Servings: 8 tostadas
Ingredients:
  • 1 red onion finely sliced
  • 1 to 2 jalapeno chile finely sliced
  • 1 green anaheim pepper finely sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato cut in fine wedges
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup Gold n Soft Vegetable Oil Spread
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 8 tostadas
Directions:

Mix onion, peppers, garlic, tomato and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Let marinate for a few minutes. In a small frying pan, melt 1/4 cup Gold n Soft Vegetable Oil Spread and saute the vegatbles while mixing, until shiny. (3 to 4 minutes). Add the rest of the Gold n Soft Vegetable Oil Spread while adding the cilantro. Serve on top the tostadas. Add cotija or crumbled white cheese before serving.

Tips: Use with soft tortillas to make vegetable tacos. Use recipe with your favorite vegetables. Use this chile and onion mixture over meat, chicken or fish.
